SamadRock's supply chain philosophy reflects the same principles as our investment philosophy: long-term relationships built on mutual benefit, transparency and shared standards. We do not treat suppliers as interchangeable commodities.
We prefer to build deep, sustained relationships with a smaller number of qualified suppliers who genuinely understand our operations and can grow with us, rather than constantly tendering for the lowest unit price from unknown counterparties.
Our supply chain spans goods, services, specialist technical inputs and professional services across the full range of SamadRock's operations, from mining and engineering to technology and corporate services.
SamadRock actively prioritises Egyptian suppliers who meet our quality and ethical standards. Building a strong local supply chain is both an economic principle, reducing import dependency and cost, and a social commitment to the communities where we operate.
We particularly seek capable suppliers in the strategic industrial regions of Egypt, outside the major urban centres, where our project footprint is concentrated and where supply chain development has the greatest economic multiplier effect.
Egyptian suppliers meeting quality, safety and ethical standards are preferred in all procurement decisions, on a like-for-like basis, in accordance with SamadRock's local content policy.
All procurement decisions are made on objective criteria. Tender processes are documented and decisions are based on defined evaluation criteria shared in advance. We do not accept or offer facilitation payments of any kind.
All suppliers are required to meet SamadRock's minimum standards on ethics, labour practices, health and safety and environmental conduct. Significant suppliers undergo formal due diligence as part of the onboarding process.
We invest in supplier relationships that can grow with SamadRock over time. Preferred suppliers benefit from early engagement on new projects, more streamlined procurement processes and stable, multi-year commercial relationships.
SamadRock is committed to paying suppliers on agreed terms. We operate 30-day standard payment terms for qualified suppliers, with processes in place to resolve any invoice disputes promptly and fairly.
Quality requirements are specified clearly at the tendering stage and monitored throughout delivery. Suppliers are supported in meeting our quality standards, with structured feedback and performance review as part of ongoing supplier management.
Where Egyptian suppliers have the right fundamentals but need support in meeting international operational standards, SamadRock may provide technical guidance, training or joint capability development as part of a long-term supplier partnership framework.
